Stars reward student effort and productive struggle in Adaptive tasks. Students earn stars once they get to a final, correct answer in a question, no matter if they:
make mistakes,
use hints,
use videos, and/or
use lessons
The only time students don't earn stars is if they use the 'Next Step' option.
Students will be prompted to use other learning tools before they skip a step.
How many stars do students need to earn?
The number of stars a student will need to earn will change per subtopic. Students will need to collect between 3 to 8 stars each round.
