The Textbooks page within Mathspace allows you to browse and assign content as a teacher. From here, you can share lessons, worksheets and adaptive practice for your students to work on.
Click on the textbook icon on the left panel to open up the Textbooks feature.
Click Change textbook to select your textbook. You will be able to view all textbooks that your school has access to.
Click on a topic name to select your topic. Topics are broad areas of study.
Click on a subtopic name to select your subtopic. Subtopics contain lessons and questions, and are aligned to curriculum outcomes.
Alternatively, you can also search directly for a subtopic using the search bar. You can also search directly for a specific curriculum outcome.
Once a subtopic is selected, the tabs you have access to will depend on your Mathspace subscription and the curriculum you follow. The available tabs for free accounts are Lesson and Practice.
Lesson
The Lesson tab is available to all users regardless of subscription or curriculum.
Clicking on Lesson will bring up the Mathspace lesson for the subtopic; it explains key concepts, often using diagrams, worked examples and interactive widgets to build engagement and understanding. You can share Lessons with your students by clicking Share.
Practice
The Practice tab is available for all curricula but user access is dependent on subscription.
Clicking into Practice will display the list of questions available when you share the Lesson with your students.
You can view each question in full and see key information about the difficulty of the question and the estimated time it should take to complete it, as well as options to reveal the solution or to try the question yourself as the student would.
Clicking Preview Practice will allow you to try the Practice as your students would.
