How do Students Collect Diamonds in Adaptive tasks?

Learn how diamonds reward student effort in Adaptive tasks, and how many diamonds students need to earn


Diamonds reward student effort and productive struggle in Adaptive tasks. Students earn diamonds once they get to a final, correct answer in a question, no matter if they:

  • make mistakes,

  • use hints,

  • use videos, and/or

  • use lessons

The only time students don't earn diamonds is if they use the 'Next Step' option.

Students will be prompted to use other learning tools before they skip a step.

 

How many diamonds do students need to earn?

 The number of diamonds a student will need to earn will change per subtopic. Students will need to collect between 2 to 5 diamonds each round.
