The Teacher Textbook is a powerful way to browse through Mathspace content. It goes beyond browsing by allowing you to create Adaptive tasks, Custom tasks and save question sets as templates for future use.

How do I switch Textbooks?

  1. Click Curriculum from your menu.
  2. Click on the textbook name on the top of the list of topics to switch to a different textbook.
  3. Select a Textbook that you want to browse.
  4. Select a Topic then a Subtopic.

How do I search by Outcomes?

  1. Click Curriculum from your menu.
  2. Make sure that you have selected the correct textbook.
    If you need to switch to a different textbook, click on the textbook name on the top of the list of topics and select a different textbook.
  3. Enter an outcome code in the search box.
  4. Select a Topic then a Subtopic.
  5. The outcome match will be displayed on the header of the selected subtopic. 

You can view the question difficulty and approximate time to complete a question:

  1. Click Curriculum from your menu.
  2. Select a Topic then a Subtopic.
  3. Question difficulty and approximate time is displayed below every question.

Creating a task

How do I create an Adaptive task from the Textbook?

  1. Click Curriculum from your menu.
  2. Select a Topic then a Subtopic.
  3. Click on assign an Adaptive task.

How do I create a Custom task from the Textbook?

  1. Click Curriculum from your menu.
  2. Select a Topic then a Subtopic.
  3. Click the plus sign to the right of any question.
  4. Click on the right-hand panel or the number to reveal the collected question set.
  5. Once you're happy with the set, click Next.
  6. Choose Assign as Custom Task.
  7. Add your task details and press 'Create Custom Task'.

How do I create a Task template from the Textbook?

  1. Click Curriculum from your menu.
  2. Select a Topic then a Subtopic.
  3. Click the plus sign to the right of any question.
  4. Click on the right-hand panel to reveal the collected question set.
  5. Once you're happy with the set, click Next.
  6. Choose Create template.
  7. Add your templates details and press 'Create Template'.
