Mathspace provides scaffolding at the intermediate-step level. Students can receive hints with scaffolding, ask Mathspace to give them the next intermediate step, and watch a video tutorial given by a teacher for a similar question type.

Teachers also have access to every single step a student takes to solve the problem, every hint they ask for, and every video they watch. This empowers teachers to know exactly where the student started to struggle, and give the specific guidance students need.
