Waypoints is designed to be student-led and teacher-defined.

All students can sign up for a free personal Waypoints account to help them take ownership of their learning. Teachers can sign up for a free 30 day trial that will allow access to your students' data to help inform decision making and drive differentiation through a number of different reports. If you already have a Mathspace account, simply click on the app switcher icon and get started.

Students begin Waypoints in the 'Diagnostic' phase. The Diagnostic phase is the first 10 check-ins a student completes on Waypoints, which determines a baseline of mathematical skills. Each check-in takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Teachers will begin to see data once a student has completed their first diagnostic check-in. Once students complete the Diagnostic phase, a complete skills report will be generated for teachers and students. Click here for more information about the student skills report.

As students continue to complete check-ins, teachers will will be able to track the change in student knowledge over time. This includes both growth as well as potential learning loss..
